The Pool of Bethesda

Bethesda Physical Therapy & Wellness is named for the pool of Bethesda, in Jerusalem which was known for its healing properties. We are dedicated to the art of healing and wellness.
The Healing at the Pool
Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews. Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. Here a great number of disabled people used to lie - the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?" "Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me." Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.

Dry Needling
 
 In combination with our traditional physical therapy and rehabilitation services, we offer another method to treat both short term and chronic pain. Dry needling is a well studied practice, proven to offer relief for areas of increased tension throughout the soft tissue, otherwise known as trigger points. Using this technique helps to reduce pain and improve a patient's ability to perform functional strengthening and reduce overall symptoms. Patient's often experience significant reduction in pain/pressure sensitivity, decreased analgesic usage and increased range of motion resulting in overall increased function. 

Injury Prevention Screening

Bethesda Physical Therapy & Wellness not only rehabilitates athletes in the event of injury, we also work to prevent injuries. Therapists will conduct assessments to identify limitations and will work with you to improve those limitations. Such screening and one-on-one work with a therapist has been proven to significantly reduce the chance of acquiring an injury.

Golf Performance

Our physical therapist Dustin McGann can help you improve your golf performance in the most optimal way. He can help you work on your techniques so you become the best athlete you can be while preventing common injuries and pains that come with golfing. We provide golf fitness evaluations where you get thoroughly evaluated and get a custom tailored plan for your golf game.

Through specific training, we have helped numerous patients improve their golf game and change their technique to minimize injury. Our Titleist™ Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor will analyze your swing using a high speed camera and formulate a treatment plan for peak golfing performance.
